Chant Workshop - 28th May 2011
With Philip Duffy (of the Schola Gregoriana of Cambridge), at St. Thomas's Church, Canterbury, 10-5.30.
Study material: The First Vespers of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 13th century Worcester Antiphoner and the Hereford Breviary. Included in the day is a visit to Canterbury Cathedral Archives to hear a paper about the survival of mediaeval music manuscript from Assistant Archivist Dr. Mark Bateson and a visit to a small exhibititon of manuscripts and books from the archives' collection. The day concludes with singing the Vespers in St. Thomas's Church at 5pm.
