Nicolas Bell, whom many of you will remember giving us a talk on Cluniac monasticism at Lewes Priory, has kindly offered to show Associates original mediaeval music manuscripts including an Office for St. Edmund of Canterbury. He will be demonstrating these manuscripts in the magnificent surroundings of the Wren Library where he is now Librarian.
Christopher Hodkinson has transcribed the texts and music from these original manuscripts into easily readable square notation from which we plan to study, rehearse and perform Vespers of St. Edmund of Canterbury in Trinity College Chapel, on this the Feast of the Translation of St. Edmund.
